Otto Lohmüller - Künstler oder Pädophilen

Otto Lohmüller

Otto Lohmüller (born 1943 in Gengenbach, Germany) is a still active contemporary German figurative painter, sculptor and book illustrator, who is best known for images of young male nudes (usually in the 13 to 16 age range, mostly from his family and organizations he belongs to - Boy Scouts - would you believe ?).
His published works are listed in the Catalog of the German National Library.
He almost exclusively works with the human form, usually with minimal background and, as could be expected, is an accomplished portrait artist.
His images are usually extremely accurate, often bordering upon the semi-photographic.
Oddly although the ages of his boy models were often indicated (between 13 and 16 years), they were always depicted  quite obviously, and rather oddly as pre-pubescent - which may be an indication of  Lohmüller's sexual fantasy, or preferences.

Dr. Arno Breker
by  Otto Lohmüller
Recent research has indicated that perhaps the main reason for Lohmüller's withdrawal of all his images of boy nudes was the fact that he received threats of physical violence from 'neo Nazi' groups because he was perceived (possibly correctly) as being a paedophile.
It would certainly explain his obvious panic expressed in his communications with the author of this blog.
Of course Adolf (or should that be Adolph, or maybe Wolf), was an artist himself, who was known to produce male nudes, and was uncommonly fond of that purveyor of the idealised male nude Dr.  Arno Breker.
And during the period of the Dritte Reich Hitler's much loved 'Hitlerjugend' was often referred to (secretly of course) as 'homo-youth' (strangely in English), because of the prevalence of  pederasty in the ranks.
And so Adolf' s shadow reaches out, even from his probably unquiet grave ....... and where does that leave us now - after all Lohmüller had his own little version of 'Hitler Youth' - the 'Templeritter' (Knights Templar 'Scout Group').
